Notice To Patients About Scheduling:

Dr. Gholam Ali Miamee DDS is not accepting exam appointments, checkups or cleanings.

Dr. Gholam Ali Miamee DDS accepts only surgical procedures that require special attention due to some complications.

If the patient has a problem that may require Dr. Gholam Ali Miamee DDS then they must first have examination with our associate dentists.

After the associate dentist treatment plans a surgical procedure that requires special attention, the patient will then be offered an appointment with Dr. Gholam Ali Miamee DDS for consult and/or treatment.

Bad news is he can't do your checkup/cleaning anymore. Good news is he will be standing by if someone in your family needs a tough extraction or root canal one day.

Dr. Gholam Ali Miamee DDS (and all the dentists in our dental office) are only general dentists. You should always get second opinion or expert level care from specialist dentists such as endodontist, oral surgeon, periodontist, prosthodontist, orthodontist and/or pedodontist to get the highest level of care. Specialist dentists are far superior to general dentist in every way. They have amazing training that is much more advanced than a general dentist. Furthermore, they have experience that is light years ahead of any general dentist's experience with these complicated procedures. Thus, even though Dr. Gholam Ali Miamee DDS and other general dentists perform extractions, root canals and implants we can never hope to have the same level of expertise as a formally trained specialist dentist. Thus, we recommend Dr. Charles Fields Periodontist, Dr. Pedram Yahgmaie Oral Surgeon, Brian A. Mahler, DDS, Prosthodontist, Dr. Lan Tran Orthodontist, Dr. Alan Wonhee Lee, DDS, MS endodontist, etc.

10 Reasons Dental Implants Are Worth the Investment

Published September 4th, 2024 by RTC Dental

Discover why dental implants are a valuable investment in our blog '10 Reasons Dental Implants Are Worth the Investment'.

Considering dental implants can be a daunting decision, but the advantages far outweigh the concerns. In this blog, we’ll explore 10 compelling reasons why investing in dental implants could be one of the best decisions for your oral health and overall wellbeing. Let’s dive into why these high-tech solutions are gaining popularity and how they could benefit you.

1. Long-Lasting Solution

Dental implants offer a long-term solution to tooth loss, outshining other alternatives with their durability. Unlike dentures or bridges that might need frequent adjustments or replacements, dental implants are made to last a lifetime with proper care. The titanium post integrated into the jaw not only stabilizes the implant but also promotes bone growth, ensuring the longevity of the solution. This investment in your smile is not only about aesthetics but about securing a permanent solution for a complete and functional mouth.

2. Improved Oral Health

Beyond filling the gaps left by missing teeth, dental implants play a crucial role in preserving oral health. By preventing bone loss and maintaining the integrity of adjacent teeth, implants mitigate the risks of future dental complications. The preservation of bone and the prevention of teeth shifting not only maintain the structure of your jaw but also reduce the risk of periodontal disease, offering a ripple effect of benefits beyond the immediate gap filling.

3. Natural Look and Feel

The aesthetic aspect of dental implants is unparalleled. Custom-designed to match your natural teeth, implants restore the appearance of your smile in a way that feels and looks completely natural. The fusion of the titanium post with your jawbone provides a stable base for the prosthetic tooth, allowing for a natural bite and speech, essentially mimicking the function and appearance of natural teeth. This seamless integration into your mouth enhances not only your smile but your confidence as well.

4. Enhanced Comfort and Convenience

The comfort level of dental implants is a significant upgrade from dentures. Once installed, implants become a part of you, eliminating the discomfort and inconvenience associated with removable appliances. This permanent solution allows you to eat, speak, and smile without the worry of your teeth moving out of place. Unlike dentures, which require special care routines, implants can be cared for just like your natural teeth, simplifying dental hygiene.

5. No Restrictions on Food

One of the joys of dental implants is the freedom they offer. With a stability akin to natural teeth, implants allow you to enjoy your favorite foods without restrictions. This is a stark contrast to the limitations often experienced with dentures, where certain hard or sticky foods can pose risks. Dental implants give you the liberty to enjoy a balanced diet, contributing to overall well-being and enjoyment of life.

6. Improved Speech

Speech clarity can be significantly affected by missing teeth or poor-fitting dentures. Dental implants, however, restore normal speech by providing stability and the feel of natural teeth. This eliminates the fear of slipping dentures that can cause slurring or mumbling, enabling clear and confident communication. The precise placement of implants mimics your natural tooth structure, facilitating effortless speech.

7. Prevents Bone Loss

One of the most crucial roles of dental implants is their ability to prevent bone loss in the jaw. When teeth are lost, the lack of stimulation leads to bone resorption over time, altering the shape of your face and jeopardizing the health of your remaining teeth. Implants stimulate bone growth, mimicking the root of a natural tooth and promoting bone health. This not only helps in maintaining facial aesthetics but also the overall structure and strength of the jaw.

8. Boosts Self-Esteem

The psychological benefits of dental implants are profoundly impactful. Restoring a complete and healthy smile significantly boosts self-confidence and self-esteem. Knowing your smile looks natural and functions correctly allows you to interact socially without embarrassment or fear. Many recipients of dental implants report an improvement in their quality of life, feeling more outgoing and confident in both personal and professional settings.

9. Supports Adjacent Teeth

A gap from a missing tooth can lead to adjacent teeth shifting, leading to misalignment and affecting your bite and chew. Dental implants fill these gaps, providing support to adjacent teeth, preventing them from shifting and maintaining the overall integrity of your dental structure. This support not only preserves the natural alignment of your teeth but also helps maintain the health of your entire mouth.

10. A Cost-Effective Investment Over Time

While the initial cost of dental implants might be higher compared to other tooth replacement options, their longevity and minimal maintenance requirements make them a cost-effective choice in the long run. The durability of dental implants means fewer replacements and repairs, saving you money and time that would otherwise be spent on dental visits. They are a true investment in your dental health, offering value that exceeds their upfront cost.
